I haven't seen any reports on the Ruff today, so i just thought i would confirm it was still present this morning.
Observed the Ruff (male in breeding plumage) off Britannia Rd. on the floods nearest 8th line at 6:20am with a couple of other early birders. The bird did not remain near the road for long and disappeared deeper into the field. One hour later the bird had still not been found (but the fields are extensive, so not altogether surprising). A number of yellowlegs remain, along with horned larks, and two nesting great blue herons. I did manage a poor shot of the Ruff for those who are interested or were not able to see it: http://mustap.smugmug.com/gallery/4864972_eLmAx#P-10-12 Directions from previous report: The bird was in the second flooded field on the north side of Britannia Rd east of the Eighth Line. Shoulders are almost non-existent and the Britannia is busy. Site is best approached driving west on Britannia from the Ninth Line.
