Just a quick note here to add a few other details of what we saw today. The Dunlin total was 1191 with some groups landing and feeding along the tops of the armour stone walls. Also seen were 15 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 2 Black-bellied Plovers and one Ruddy Turnstone. As Tim says over next two or three days or more, along with larger numbers of Whimbrels, will come larger number of a diverse number of shorebirds including Sanderling and White-rumped Sandpiper.
