Hi Ontbirders:
I was wondering what happened to the two red-necked phalaropes. The two are
likely part of a group of four feeding together for most of the day yesterday.
The green heron at AHP is on the tame side and can be seen at the island area.

The water levels along the Ottawa River continue to drop and there is more
exposed mudflats at Shirley's Bay. There were 3 juv. Red-necked Phalarope
feeding along with 50+ Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Short-billed Dowitcher, 6
Semipalmated Plover, 4 Solitary Sandpiper and 60+ Semipalmated

This morning there were 3 Red-necked Phalaropes feeding below Deschenes Rapids.
The birds are best seen from Britannia Point. The warbler watching was
excellent between 8:00/11:00a.m. with a total of 19 species recorded including
3 Wilson's,1 Pine, 5 Bay-breasted, 40+ Blackpoll, 1

Spent an hour at Deschenes Rapids watching the gulls coming into roost along
the Ottawa River. There was lots of activity with 210+ Great Black-backed
Gull, 11 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, and 2 Red-necked Phalarope feeding
below the rapids near Britannia Point. Also counted 7

At 7:00a.m. this morning there were 3 juv. Red-necked Phalaropes feeding in a
flock of 11 Least Sandpiper, 4 Greater Yellowlegs and 9 Lesser Yellowlegs on
the mudflat at Shirley's Bay.
