The breeding plumage Sabine's Gull was still present today, September 27th, off
Britannia Point. It was spending most of its time feeding above the rapids and
would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time before feeding below and visible
from Britannia Point.

Sorry for the delay. I saw the Sabine's gull around 1:15 p.m. this
afternoon. It was sitting on the water then flew upstream. It was taking
short flights over the water then resting.
Directions the same as previous post. Seen from shoreline just west of
filtration plant (Britannia Point) parking

The adult Sabine's Gull found yesterday evening by Jake Walker is still present
at Deschenes Rapids at 9:11am. Best to view from Britannia Point, east end of
Cassels Road.

This afternoon at 1:00pm I observed two juvenile Sabine's Gulls at Shirley's
Bay. As I was scanning the limited mudflats, suddenly the 2 gulls appeared.
I watched them briefly as they quickly passed over the area. I managed to take

The juv. Sabine's Gull continues to fed below Deschenes Rapids spending most of
its time on the Quebec side near the cement structure. It can be viewed from
Britannia Point or Deschenes Lookout along the Ottawa River Parkway. The best
viewing is from below Deschenes Rapids where it

Today (Sept. 5) a juvenile SABINE'S GULL was seen briefly between 12:25 -
12:35 PM, at the large pond on the east side of Moodie Dr. south of the
Bells Corners area in Ottawa, south of the Trail Rd. Landfill. This is
likely the 1st record in Ottawa in over 2 decades. The
