Hi Everyone
This morning I observed a Yellow-throated Vireo at Britannia Conservation
Area/Mud Lake. The vireo was activity feeding and occasionally singing in the
south-west corner of the woods. This is my earliest spring record for the
Ottawa-Gatineau district. The Red-headed Woodpeckers are back at Constance Bay
about a week earlier than usual. This is the 13th consecutive year and one was
present on May 1st and two on May 3rd. Lots of new migrants have arrived with
the sunny clear weather. Should be a great weekend.
Good birding,
Bruce
