The Black-throated Gray Warbler was still present this morning, quite active at
times, but again skulking in between; today it was just east of the ridge.

A bigger surprise was a Gyrfalcon that came swooping in over Mud Lake, actively
pursuing a number of Ring-billed Gulls, and even spooking many of the Canada
Geese.

Also of seasonal interest, there was a Winter Wren along the shoreline east of
the filtration plant. Other recent late-lingering birds (e.g., Brown Thrasher,
Gray Catbird) did not show themselves this morning though.

Directions: park at the small lot on Cassels Street at the entrance to the
filtration plant (nearest exit from Hwy 417 is Pinecrest)
