This morning between 8:30 and 10am, several small flocks of WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were flying over the boardwalk at Mer Bleue. Along the Dewberry Trail off Dolman Ridge Road, another flock of WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS flew over, and about a dozen PINE SISKINS were feeding high on the spruce trees along the trail. Good birding! Pat DIRECTIONS: From the 417, exit at Anderson Road and head north towards Russell Road. Continue on Anderson, turning right onto Ridge Road. The parking lot for the Mer Bleue Bog is at the end of Ridge Road. From Mer Bleue, return to Anderson Road and go right. Make another right onto Dolman Ridge Road, and the entrance to the Dewberry Trail is at the end of the road by the gate. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
