Hi Everyone,
Spent a couple hours birding the Ottawa River between downpours this
afternoon. There was a definite increase in the number of scoters between
Shirley's Bay and Andrew Haydon Park. There were 170+ male Black Scoter, 140+
White-winged Scoter (mostly male) and 22 male Surf Scoter. Also had 200+
Red-breasted Merganser and 9 male Long-tailed Duck.
Good Birding, Bruce

Directions: Ottawa Beach is signed as Andrew Hayden Park (east entrance - 400 m
east of the Holly Acres Road entrance on Carling Avenue).
