Hi Everyone
This morning at around 10:30am I observed a flock of 9 Gray Partridge along
Maple Grove Road. The partridge were feeding in a field along the Carp River.
This is the same general area Gray Partridges have been observed during the
past 4 or 5 winters. The habitat is slowly disappearing and I would recommend
checking the area bordered by Huntmar Road, Richardson Side Road, Terry Fox
Drive, and Maple Grove Road. Northern Hawk-Owls continue to move south. One was
seen briefly yesterday, Dec.20th near the corner of Eagleson Road and Robertson
Road at 9:30am and another was observed along Terry Fox Drive near Richardson
Side Road on December 19th.
Good birding, Bruce

Directions: General area: From Ottawa take Hwy 417 west to Terry Fox Drive exit
and turn right and continue to Richardson Side Road or turn left at Terry Fox
Drive and follow to Maple Grove Road and turn west.
