Hi Ontbirds I spent the day birding along the Ottawa River and south east of Ottawa. It was a great day and the weather conditions were more like October. In fact it was the first time I’ve every birded the eastern sewage lagoons in December. Normally everything is frozen and covered by snow.

Hi (again), Chalk my previous post up to excitement/nerves/over-analysis! I have looked through my photos more than enough and retract my comment re: this bird (Ross's) being a potential intermediate Ross's/Lesser. It is a juvenile Ross's. Sorry for the spam. Jon ___

Hi there, Today, at 5:15 PM, I had a single Ross's Goose amongst 1500-1700 (rough est) Canada Geese. The bird showed some grayish/brownish wash to the head but I think that is attributed to the mud it was foraging in. All other signs point to this being an adult bird. Please email for photos, if

Hi Ontbirders While doing some yard work late this morning I observed a Ross's Goose fly over in a flock of Canada Geese. I was able to relocate the Ross's Goose along the Carp River off Rivington Street at 12:05pm. It was still present at 12:20pm. There were also 2 Snow Geese, 1 white and 1 blu
