Ontbirders, they're back! A little earlier than the last few years, I think!

Beautiful adult bird with shining silver-grey crown and hindneck, black throat, 
black back/wings and white speckling on wings. Bill held horizontal (not above 
as in Red-throated). Seen straight out (directly north) from Minet's Point Park 
in Barrie.  Scope is required as the birds are well out on the bay and wind is 
howling, just picked up while I was here. 

Also here, at least one adult Little Gull, over 1,000 Bonaparte's and I counted 
over 300 Common Loon.

Directions:
Exit Hwy 400 at Essa Road in Barrie, head east toward lake, turn right in 
Tiffin which curves right and becomes Lakeshore Rd. Turn left after a couple of 
km's at Minet's Point Road, park is at lake off this road.
