Took a quick pass through the woods Sunday am, and found things pretty quiet except for big flocks of finches passing overhead. We did get a good look at a flock of maybe a dozen Pine Siskins feeding voraciously in the canopy of a deciduous tree on the W side. (Our first sighting this season.) There were also a Sharp-shin, resident Great Horned Owl, a lone Ruby Crown Kinglet, and of course numerous very habituated Chickadees. Gene Denzel
