two ross's geese (adult and immature) 4 killdeer and 2 pipits ... no avocet. Directions: from county road 4 at north end of town turn right on warren street. follow through stop and turn righ on Scotch line. go 1km to viewing tower on your left ... killdeer in lagoon 1 and geese on berm betwee

[Ontbirds] Port Stanley Lagoons

Hi All Not sure if this is of note or not, but I counted over 125 Killdeer at Lagoons 1 & 2 in Port Stanley on Sunday.  Most of them were loafing and sunning on the berm between the 1st & 2nd lagoons but a few were at the waters edge.  There were also a few Yellowlegs, both Lesser and Greater.

Hi All After a couple of hours at the Cliff we went up to the lagoons. The 1st lagoon had a Red neck Grebe and an Eared Grebe The 3rd lagoon had 6 Greater Yellow legs, 1 Least Sandpiper, 8 Pectoral Sandpipers, 1 Long Billed Dowitcher, and 1 Common Snipe. Plenty of ducks, Shovelers, Blue wing
