Hi Everyone
The shorebird watching was excellent this morning along Beach 1-3 and Owen
Point. The highlight was a breeding plumaged Purple Sandpiper at Owen Point
first spotted by Bill Gilmour. It was on the gravel point with Dunlin between
9:15 a.m to 9:50 a.m. Other species noted included 8000

Yesterday, November 16th, birded Presqu'ile P.P. for the day. Overall, cold and
windy but we did managed to see 1 Purple Sandpiper in a flock of 18 Dunlin and
7 Sanderling on Gull Island. The bird was very tame. There was a juvenile Snowy
Owl present on Sebastopol Island. Late linger
