There has been a flooded field here for several years and it does attract
shorebirds.
At about 7:30 p.m. this evening I had 44 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Solitary
Sandpiper, 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, 21 peeps of which I believe 3 were
Semi-palmated and the rest were Leasts.
There were 2 Kildeer and 1 Semi-palmated Plover among them.
One of the yellowlegs had what seemed to be breeding plumage from its throat to
almost between its legs.  The rest were in winter plumage.
>From Toronto take the 404 north to the end at Green Lane.  Go right (east) to
>Woodbine Avenue and then turn left (north) to Ravenshoe Road and turn right
>(east) for about 500 metres.  The flooded area is to the north.
