Two Red-necked Grebes have been present since sunrise today in the small bay
bordering Goodfriend Drive and Havenwood Trail on Howe Island (Kingston
area).  They are actively feeding and preening.

Howe Island is accessible by an on-demand ferry located off Joyceville Road
and Hwy 2 at Howe Island Ferry Road, ~15 km east of Kingston.  Cost is $5
and there are weekend breaks from 12-12:30, 2:45-3:00, 4:45-5:00.  There are
no amenities on the island.  Take the second road left (Baseline Road) off
the County operated ferry to view the bay from Goodfriend Drive.
