Late post - Mill Pond at the Richmond Hill Winter Carnival today there was a Red-headed Woodpecker among the many nuthatches. Seen on the south side of Mill street behind the Food Tent jumping from tree to tree. Mill Pond is on Mill St. closer to Bathurst than Yonge, just north of Major Mackenzie and the Hospital. The Winter Carnival continues Sunday and parking is recommended at the Hospital and take a shuttle, or short walk up to the pond.
