One ruffed grouse walking along the bike/walking path that runs along the
eastern side of Lynde Shores Conservation Area. Seen about 10 m north of the
drainage pond. This individual is probably a juvenile and was very tame. It
approached me and my dog and was about 1 m away.

A Grey adult Ruffed Grouse has been seen last night and again this morning. The
last E-bird noted sighting in the area was May 2014.
The bird is walking back and forth along a fence line separating the
neighbourhood and the Conservation area.

A single Rufous Adult Ruffed Grouse has returned to the same spot as it was
seen on April 24th, walking the fence line on the western side of Whitby Shores
Greenway, slightly north of the catchment pond at #250.

The Ruffed Grouse was seen again this morning at 8:30 by a few birders. It has
been walking along inside the fence on the north-side of the catchment pond. It
stays close to the fence walking back and forth.
