Hello birders.

At dusk could be seen a flock of about 30 Sandhill Cranes, a couple of
wing-tagged Trumpeter Swans and various flocks of ducks (it was too dark to
identify the latter). Some Trumpeters seem to be permanent residents of the
area.
Bannister Lake is a small kettle lake located east of Ayr at the junction of
Hwy. 24A (otherwise known as Pinehurst Road or Spragues Road or Cty. Rd. 75)
and Wrigley Road or Cty Rd. 49. Park in the small lot 200 metres west of the
junction and take the west path for 5-10 minutes. There is a fine viewing tower
at the edge of the lake.
