Hello
the migration of Sandhill Cranes to their traditional area in Navan has
begun this past week, count of 16 at noon today with number expected to
increase.
They are in the fresh cut corn fields east of Trim and North of McFadden.
>From HWY 174 , take Trim road exit South 12.5 km (almost to
A flock of 59 Sandhill Cranes (1:00pm) at their usual location at Navan
(Smith and Milton Road), Ottawa County.
directions: HWY 417 east to HWY 174 east take 10th line exit go south 12.3
km to the end of 10th line where you meet and turn east on Smith Road check
fields to the south as you approach
I had my first fall group sighting of 5 Sandhill Cranes (5:20pm) at their
usual location at Navan (Smith and Milton Road), Ottawa County. Their
numbers traditionally grow from this point into November.
