Today we saw Snow Geese in a field WEST of Winchester. They were seen from the north side of Co. Rd. 43, about 2 kms west of the Inkerman/Ridell Rd intersection, opposite the New Holland farm equipment dealer. There were about 500 and they were about half a km away.
Directions from Ottawa: South on Bank Street to Co. Rd. 43 near Winchester and go west, OR south on Hwy 416 to Co. Rd. 43 at Kemptville and go east. Later we saw a few hundred snow geese at the previously-reported Morewood/Cayer Rd location.
