Violet-green Swallow found by Nelson Contardo in Chippewa Park, Thunder
Bay. Seen at 3:20pm today according to the ebird list. Good luck to those

When we arrived at noon, the Violet-green Swallow was sitting on its nestbox at
the back of the pond. For the next half hour, she made periodic forays around
the pond, but never left our sight and always returned to the nestbox.From the
intersection of Water and Pearl, go south on Pearl
It took several hours but the Violet-green Swallow finally came and perched for
photos on the telephone line beside the pond at 12:40. Earlier several of us
had a brief glimpse but patience was rewarded.

Hi Ontario birders,
Josh and I are currently looking at the female Violet-green Swallow at Thunder
Bay Marina with Glenn Stronks. She is present and beautifully on display and
getting a bit frisky with her male Tree Swallow companion, who is defending
their nest box from other Tree Swallows!
I haven't seen this posted here yet, so I figured I'd post about it. It was
found yesterday and was last reported at 5pm today. Based on reports it's
probable that's it nesting so will likely stick around.
It's being seen at the Thunder Bay marina. Turn right on gravel road under
construction,
