Greetings ONTBirders:

I spent a few hours at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden. AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES are
prolific there, but a few interesting migrants were also around. A
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was at the edge of the Ash Woodlot, where I also
found a female BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER. A single PHILADELPHIA VIREO made a brief
appearance, and further in the woodlot I caught a glimpse of an OVENBIRD
foraging on the ground. RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRDS are also plentiful, as are
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS. Most of the grosbeaks are juveniles, but I did see an
adult male in full breeding plumage.

Good birding!

Pat
