Further to Kayo Roy's earlier post: I just returned from seeing a female white-winged crossbill at 1319 Pelham Rd. in Fonthill. It was in a large evergreen at the front of the house. It flew off, heading southeast, with another bird following. I assume the second bird was the male.
Directions as per Kayo: Directions: From the west, take the QEW to Regional Highway 24 (Victoria Avenue) at Vineland, then south 16.4 km to Regional Highway 20. Turn left and travel 9 km to the lights at Pelham Road in Fonthill. Turn right and go 1/2 km to house number 1319 at Vera Street. >From the east, take the QEW to Highway 406 and travel 17.8 km to Highway 20. Drive west 5.5 km to the lights at Pelham Road in Fonthill. Turn left and go 1/2 km to house number 1319 at Vera Street.
