Wed, May 24, Afternoon at the Alfred Lagoons, 1 hr east of Ottawa. Saw the Stilt Sandpiper but no Ruff in sight. Also saw Peregrine Falcon, 3 American Bitterns, and many Ruddy Ducks.
Take Hwy 17 east from ottawa to Alfred, turn south on Peat Moss Rd and 2 Km south are the lagoons. A permit is required which can be obtained at the Alfred Municipal Office. Iain Wilkes Carleton Place, Ontario
