Despite the fog and rain followed by spirited wind, our Jan 6, Sat trip to Amherst Island for raptors was successful. 3 Snowys, 7+ Long Earreds, and 1 Saw Whet (group we met saw 2 Saw Whets). Few hawks with a handful of red tails, rough legs and 2 kestrals. Few ducks with mostly mallards, 2 rafts of buffleheads and 1 long tailed.
