[Ontbirds]Barrow's Goldeneye, Ottawa, Rideau River

This afternoon (ca. 4:30) a male Barrow's Goldeneye was feeding a few hundred yards north (downstream) of the 417 bridge over the Rideau River. This the only Barrow's I could find with ca. 140 Goldeneye and several Common Mergansers between that bridge and the next bridge (Cummins) downstream.

A Barrow's Goldeneye (male) present this evening (6 pm) at north end of Strathcona Park. Visible too from other side 200m north (downstream) of tennis club at west end of Donald St (Parc Riverain).This is the Rideau River a kilometre or so north of 417 bridge.
