Hi again Ontbirds people,

A couple of points of clarification re: our earlier message (we could have
worded it better):

1) re: Whimbrels - unlike southern Ontario, this species is a rare passage
migrant in Ottawa and always causes excitement when encountered here.

2) re: Forster's Tern - of course this bird is NOT en route to the arctic
archipelago. However, here in Ottawa it is on our "rare bird alert" list, a
rare stray to the area.  The most recent record was last September. Prior to
that, the species was last seen here in 1991.
