August 26 from 7.00 - 7.30 pm a large congregation of Common Nighthawks at the Howe Island ferry crossing just west of Kingston (south end of Joyceville Road) ; moving west some possibly crossing to Wolfe island; I counted 96 and surely missed many in the largest scattered flock, and then counted an additional 40 in groups of 2-5 as I drove east on Howe Island and they (and many monarchs) were moving west.
