Hello Demoiselle Crane Lovers, Last fall a Demoiselle Crane spent most of September entertaining our hawk counters on the tower at Holiday Beach Migration Observatory. In researching, it was found out there is a farmer who raises these beautiful cranes in Paris, ON (not sure if this is the exact location) and the farmer had indicated one of his cranes did, indeed, escape. He was most happy to hear the crane was doing well.
Looking forward to Fall Migration. Good Birding. Rachel A.
