Weather:
Today’s count was delayed initially by early morning fog until mid morning.
Conditions did slowly improve throughout the day but remained somewhat
hazy overall. Winds were light south-southeast in the morning, picking up
somewhat in the afternoon.

Observations:
The flight was light and sporadic, highlighted by the first Peregrine
Falcon of the season. Also, those assembled at the watch witnessed another
Bald Eagle/Osprey encounter, seemingly involving the same sub adult eagle
as described in Paul Cypher’s posting yesterday. In this case, a flat out
chase ensued with the Osprey finally relinquishing its prize and the eagle
picking it out of mid air. This is not an uncommon occurrence but is
always spectacular to see.
