Happy Thanksgiving!
This morning at 11:00, along with Jeff Gilbreath, Martin Daly and Mrs.
Daly, we found 4 Hudsonian Godwits on the mudflats at the Willows. That almost
makes up for missing the Nelson's Sharptailed's again!
Other nice birds were Marsh Wren, Osprey, and the continuously-singing
Carolina Wrens. What a delightful weekend to be out birding!

Directions: From hwy 403 into Hamilton, exit Main St. West and go west. Turn
right onto Cootes Drive after McMaster University Hospital. Turn around at the
first lights and return halfway back to the university and park just before the
bridge (2 hour parking sign) and cross Cootes Drive and follow south shore
trail. You will go down a path and cross a bridge over Spencer creek and turn
left. Follow this trail, always keeping the "creek" on your left until you find
yourself at a dead end in Cotes Paradise. This is known as "The Willows". The
birds are there on the mud flats.
