Persistance and patience paid off. Went back to little river this morning
after my midnight shift in hopes of relocateing the LARK SPARROW . After about
45 minutes of stomping around i found it about 400 yards to the east of
where we observed it yesterday well the good news is after persuing it
carefully for about another half hour i was able to photograph it "hopefully
i can figure out later how to submit the picture and get it put on the ofo
bird page for all to enjoy
good day and good birding to all

best way to find little river is to take either wyndotte street east or
riverside drive east from lauzon to a street called riverdale go south on
riverdale to the first street past wyndotte and make a left over the little
bridge park in the lot at the base of the big hill
you will see a cement ashphalt path follow that south to the very end where
you will run into the via railroad tracks you will now see a big open area to
the east of the path once you see a flooded part of the field with a rise just
to the east of it you will be in the right vicinity the bird seems to like
three different areas in close proximity to the water the hilly area right
along the eastern edge of the water, a small ditch that runs east to west
parallel to the via tracks around a big steel culvert section and in the grass
and hilly area between the small ditch and the railroad tracks hope thats good
enough directions for those unsure of the area
