Hello Ontbirders This morning, on Lac des Chenes, a Snowy Owl was observed perched on a distant floating platform across from Aylmer, Que. The best views were from the breakwater of Dick Bell Park, west of Andrew Haydon Park. Also, an immature Northern Shrike was observed hunting a (Tree?) sparro

Observed a Snowy Owl perched on a post about 200 yards into a field on Akins Road. If you drive along Eagleson and turn onto Akins it's in the field on the right (not far from Eagleson). It was perched there for a good 15-20 minutes at around 3:00pm. It then flew toward Eagleson. Watched 2 G

[Ontbirds] Ottawa, Snowy Owl, Gray Partridges, Lapland Longspur, other

On Sunday afternoon (Dec. 9) we saw a dark barred Snowy Owl at various locations on Larose and the 19th Concession east of Casselman. On Larose, south of Concession 20, we saw 8 Gray Partridges, many Snow Buntings, 10-12 Horned Larks, 1 Lapland Longspur and a dark barred Snowy Owl. On Larose nort
