Warblers were still present in good numbers and variety, but in, or concentrated in sheltered areas. PIBO banding station had their busiest day of the year with the most numerous bird banded being Nashville Warbler but including Orange- crowned Warbler. Yesterday PIBO banded a Worm-eating and Prothonotary Warblers. Late yesterday and this morning there were many warblers including 3 Hooded Warblers on the Canal Trail to the lighthouse. There have been 167 bird species seen In May.
