At 13:00 on 25 January 2008 I saw a flock of 6 pine grosbeaks on the
campus of Wilfrid Laurier University. I heard them call, and looking up
saw two perched on the top of a tree; four others flew in to join them.
There was at least one adult male among the group; all the others had
paler plumage. The sighting was in the middle of the campus in front of
the Little House residence
(http://info.wlu.ca/wlu-hp/about/maps-2003/little_house.shtml). The WLU
campus can be reached by following Hwy 8 west from Hwy 401. At the
junction of Hwy 7 and 8 follow Hwy 7 east and continue on to Hwy 85
north. Exit from Hwy 85 at University Ave W. Follow University Ave.
