I've received a call from my non-birder brother-in-law who is working in the
Phelpston area (north of Barrie). He is working on an Enbridge Gas pipeline
and has noticed a bird unfamiliar to him in the farmers fields. By his
excellent description they sound to be Sandhill Cranes, by his description
there appears to be possibly 2 adults and 2 yng. I will find out the exact
location but thought if anyone is in that area over the weekend they may
want to take a look for them and record them for the Breeding Bird Atlas.
