An adult SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was found about noon today picking flies off the wall of an 11-storey apt. building on Red River Road, one of the busiest routes in Thunder Bay. The building is between Arby's and a small bank buiding, and across from MacDonald's. It was cool (7 C) and cloudy but the bird was finding insects, mostly up near the top of the building, sometimes on verandas, where it often perched on the railings. It was also seen on the roof of the bank, and eating berries from the small shrubs in front of Arby's.
