Hello ontbirders, I haven't seen anything posted the last few days but ventured out on my day off today to see if I could locate the Townsend's Solitaire in the Meadowlands/Fisher area. I was there at 8am and again around noon with no luck. I spoke to some other birders briefly who also had not seen it. If it is refound please post again. I would very much like to see this bird. I was driving and therefore had a fleeting glimpse but had a bird that very much looked like a Merlin also on Millbrook Crescent. Hopefully it didn't get to our western bird. Directions to the area as per Bruce DiLabio are listed below.
On a lesser note there were a few Evening Grosbeaks flying over in Barrhaven where I am residing currently. Woodroffe/Strandherd area. Not much else as I drove around some of the Eastern townships today. Winds were as high as 70 km/hr today which I'm sure made a big difference in that regard.
