Hi Birders:
Had not heard of Swans at Aylmer WMA this year so decided to find out
for myself today.
Found out why not. Just a few hundred there in the field to the north.
The pond in front is still frozen. Have not seen it this way in the 20
odd years that I have been going in March. No ducks, no Killdeer. Heard
a Song Sparrow.
Bufflehead and Scaup in the Sewage Lagoons.
Directions:
South from 401 at Hwy 73 (Exit 203) past the first 3 villages till a
curve in the road. There is a sign to the Ontario Police College with a
reference to Aylmer WMA underneath. Turn left and right at the next road
south (#32). Entrance to the WMA is after the Police College entrances.
