Hey Birders,

Mike and I checked out Wildwood this afternoon (3pm). Water levels have
dropped significantly from a few weeks ago, and a few interesting shorebirds
were around today along the 31st Line north of Harrington. We had nine
species of shorebirds at Wildwood, with the highlights below.

Long-billed Dowitcher - 2 juvenals

American Golden-Plover - 2

Black-bellied Plover - 1

Baird's Sandpiper - 3

We also stopped at the Mitchell/West Perth Wetlands. However the water
levels substantially increased due to the rains from Hurricane Ike the other
weekend, and much fewer shorebirds are there now. The highlight there was a
single Dunlin.

Good Birding,

Ken and Mike Burrell
