Sunday afternoon there were 4 White-fronted Geese with a flock of Canadas in the farm field just north of the lagoons. Monday afternoon they were in the closest (NW) cell. My sister Joan Burns and I counted 13.
Directions: From QEW take the Christie Street exit. Go south, up the escarpment. Turn left (SE) at Hwy.20, go through Smithville, straight through the light (St. Cathrines Street) not to the right, to stay on Hwy.20. Just past the Giant Tiger Plaza (Industrial Park Rd.) turn right on Smithville Townline Road, Reg. 14, then turn left on the 1st road to the left, Alma Drive. Go to the end and park. Check the field across the creek. Walk south along the fenceline, climb the fence and walk the path south to the lagoons.
