Sorry for the late post but I've had some text format problems.
The following were observed on Thursday Feb.5

At the Windemere Basin:
HOODED MERGANSERS (m/f), NORTHERN SHOVELERS, NORTHERN PINTAILS, RUDDY
DUCKS, COMMON GOLDENEYE, MALLARDS

At the Desjardin Canal:
TRUMPETER SWANS, AMERICAN COOT, HOODED MERGANSER (f), REDHEAD DUCKS,
COMMON GOLDENEYE, MALLARDS AND CANADA GEESE

At Dewitt Rd., Stoney Creek:
LONGTAILS, WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, COMMON GOLDENEYE

Directions:
WINDEMERE BASIN - take Eastport Drive, east of the Tollgate Ponds ( look
for truck wash station at South Gate Rd.) Peir 24/25 pond is on the city
side of bridge along South Gate Rd. Also accessible from Strathearne
Ave. N. off Burlington St. E.  Caution: parking restrictions on
weekdays.

Desjardin Canal - from Main St. (west) in Hamilton go past MacMaster and
immediately turn right onto Cootes Drive go to the bottom of the hill
and turn right on Olympic then left onto King St. and park where they
feed the ducks.

Dewitt Rd. - Take the QEW and exit at Fruitland Rd. Go to the North
Service RD. and turn left. Proceed around curve and turn right at Dewitt
Rd. Follow it to the parkette at the end.
