Elaine-
Several of the poultry people have attended some of
the TAHC meetings--
There is nothing with with keeping informed, and
letting the politicians know that you know what they
are up to!!!
Might make them a little uncomfortable..hehehehehe

Terry,
The link for Walter Jeffries www.NoNAIS.org has so much useful, scary, and
make-my-brain-swim information! Thanks for a great link! If any of you
haven't visited the website yet, I would highly recommend it. I live in
north-Texas and am seriously considering going to the meeting in Ro
We have used the syringe that you use to worm sheep that you buy. Putting a
little Vaseline on it and the opening of the rectum. also used warm water
and a little baby shampoo . It worked great! We have done this probably 6 or
8 times over the past few years. Good luck . You may try forcing some
Oh, put your ear to the little guy's tummy and make
sure you are still getting bowel sounds...
And you can use mineral oil in the back end, as

Actually, the warm water is safer/less traumatic to a
system than a chemical enema. Just up-end the little
guy so that the stuff gets down far eough to do it's
job.
Suppositories won't get in far enough to help unless
one really shoves them in-- sheep lambs got a
different shape to their system
a syringe with warm water and a well lubed tube also works well,
infant suppositories might work also, I'm not sure if their safe for lambs,
just a thought. Worked great on my kids when they were babies. *L*

diaper on him yesterday, had only a couple of pellets in it from all day
