I do not know on my guy. He never had a wispy breathing sound like I have heard on other animals with lung problems. I wish I had a vet in my area that did sheep in case this shows up again. It was very strange on my one guy. Even odder is he was a twin and his sister is one of the biggest lambs I

Nancy, That is very tragic. I would like to mention that anemia comes in many disguises, which is why I think reliance on eye membrane color isn't the best judge of worm burden. Anemia can be caused by cobalt deficiency, too little copper or too much molybdenum as well as haemonchus contortus
