Hi John and Barb,
I add DE to my sheeps grain but I have a mist bottle with water in it.
I mist the grain and stir it up making sure most of the grain is
slightly wetted, then add the DE and the DE sticks nicely to the grain
and there is no dust.

Hi Jim
I am just wondering - did you raise him as a young
buck alone ? I have sheep and goats and some people
think I am nuts - but I always put my young rams and
bucks in with the older bucks ( not at breeding time )
and let the older ones knock them around and teach
them how to fall in line. T
John,
I mix up some of my own minerals and they have a bad tendency to
separate. I added just a few drops of mineral oil and mixed very well.
Works a treat. I've seen mineral oil listed on livestock minerals. I
think that would work.
Regards,
Barb

Any ideas on how to reduce the dust from DE added to dry grain feed?

Hi Jim,
Since you have made your decision to keep Rascal you could still castrate

If you have a cow rancher nearby see if they have castrating tools for their
bulls and bull calves you could borrow. I routinely castrate mature rams

Thanks for your input.
My alpha (Rascal) was a sweetheart until about age 5. Then I started
noticing changes. He has slowly become very aggressive. He is a
beautiful animal and loves attention as long as I am on the other side
of the fence (loves to have his ears scratched), but when
