Careful! In the last few years, a number of CHEAP, household type fans have been recalled because they started fires!
I bought a metal floor stand fan from Northern for around $30 a few years ago for the horse stable. I removed the floor hardware and hung it with bungee cords on the stable's metal "jail" bars. Since we have a lot of dust and sand blowing around here, I also tack up a piece of furnace filter to the back of the fan to keep some of the dirt out of the motor. Helps.
