We live about 8 miles south of Redding, California. Scotts Bar is about a 3 hour drive and my husband does not want to drive 3 hours to get a few sheep. I have noticed in a few pastures around our area a few other small herds of American BB and will put up some notices on boards at the feedstore

We used to mix our own feed in a tub. We tried the beet pulp to add bulk etc. The sheep loved it. It was in a large bag it talks allot to make 50 lbs. It looks like little shreds of dried carrot. Chickens are scavengers. They, by instinct, pick from the ground. We have elevated feed troughs for the sheep and I have never seen the chickens up in the troughs. I guess there is enough "spill-over" to hit the ground that they are content. And, they never come around when the sheep are at the
