I think my Ram has finally gotten the idea of who
should mount who and what breed he is. Man are the
goats happy about this. I finnaly think we might get
some babies from this. He is the most beautifull
animal and i cant wait to see his babies.

OK I brought this op a while ago and have more to
share. My Ewe is still mounting the Ram, but now the
Ram has found a new girlfriend in a pygmy goat that we
have. He spends all day trying to mount the goat,
while the ewe is trying to mount him. We have an
animal train running around the field.
Hey does anyone one of any sex ed books for sheep??
My Ewe keeps mounting my Ram and the Ram has not
interest in returning the favor. Not sure how I will
ever get any babies at this rate..

I am so sorry to hear about everyones problems with
thier Rams. I got a beautifull ram from Garland and
Beth Stamper and he is just a gem. While he is not
overly friendly he has zero aggression towards me or
the family. He does keep an eye on use, but stays his
5 feet away (well unless I have fo
Ok I am now confused. We bought our sheep for my son
to use in 4H. Is it a bad idea for him to use a ram??
We are currently getting our ram used to a halter.
(bad idea???) He is still very shy of us, as is our
female. Our sheep and goats are more like our outside
pets. Will we regret this late
Has anyone ever heard of grain (rolled oats and
mollasses causing the runs? Yellow in color.

well we have taken baby off the bottle feeding.
Anything I should be looking that might go wrong. She
is grazing and eating grain. (when the others let her
in) I have not seen her drink as of yet, but to be
honest I rarely see any of them drink.
Information please,
Brad
We have been bottle feeding our baby for a week or so
and were wondering when do we stop. Sometimes she
wants it and sometimes she is just happy to graze. Is
it a weight thing? Or a time thing?
Baby has bonded with a male and its hard to keep the
apart its kinda cute.
Thanks for help,
BRad
