Setting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH to point o the libbt.pc file in my
/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig directory did no good - however i found a
libbt.pc file in my blackbox source directory and linked to that instead
and bbkeys configured with no problems...

The actual error is as follows:
checking for libbt... Package libbt was not found in the pkg-config
search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing 'libbt.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
